Banbury BID Launches “Stories of the People of Banbury” Project to Celebrate Local Talent and Community Spirit
Banbury, UK – Banbury BID is proud to announce the launch of “Stories of the People of Banbury,” a groundbreaking community-driven initiative kindly supported and funded by the community fund from Chiltern Railways. The project is aimed at transforming the over bridge at Banbury train station into a vibrant showcase of the town’s rich talent and spirit. This project will feature captivating headshots and short videos that highlight the unique stories and contributions of individuals and business owners from Banbury, bringing the community together in a celebration of its diversity.
As part of this initiative, the Banbury BID team is inviting residents and business owners to nominate individuals who they believe deserve to be featured. Whether it’s a local artist, a dedicated volunteer, or a talented entrepreneur, or an inspiring young person, every story matters and contributes to the tapestry of Banbury’s identity. Nominations can be submitted by anyone wishing to spotlight someone special or by individuals who wish to showcase their own story.
“Stories of the People of Banbury” aims to not only beautify the over bridge at the train station but also to foster a sense of pride and connection among residents. The project is set to take place with headshots scheduled for October 22, 2024, and filming on either October 29 or 30, 2024. Nominees must be available on these dates to participate.
“We believe that every person has a story worth telling,” said Jasmine Gilhooly on behalf of Banbury BID. “This project is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible talent within our community and to create a lasting visual representation of the people who make Banbury special.”
