Banbury, Oxfordshire – 21st June 2025 – Banbury town centre was filled with colour, music, and summer celebration on Saturday as Banbury BID’s Summer Fest Parade 2025 brought the town to life with a vibrant and joyful display of community spirit.
The day began at The Mill Arts Centre, where families took part in a fun and creative bonnet-making workshop. Children proudly wore their handmade creations in the parade, setting a colourful and festive tone for the rest of the day.
The parade started from Castle Quay and made its way through the town – past HMV, up High Street, along Church Lane, and down Parson’s Street, before finishing in the lively Market Place. Spectators lined the route to cheer on the performers and soak up the summer atmosphere.

Leading the parade were the brilliant NOA Drummers, whose powerful beats set the rhythm for a fantastic celebration. They were followed by the talented dancers from Joanne Mills School of Dance, the ever-popular Stiltman, an enchanting visit from Sleeping Beauty, and dozens of costumed performers, creating a truly eye-catching spectacle.
Banbury BID would like to thank all the businesses who decorated their windows for the occasion – the displays looked fantastic and added a splash of creativity to the streets. And a big thank you to all the participants and group’s who helped bring the event to life with their outfit’s, energy, effort, and enthusiasm.
“This year’s Summer Fest Parade was all about celebrating community and encouraging everyone to get involved,” said Ollie, Banbury Town Centre Liaison. “The performances, the colours, the smiles – it really showed Banbury at its best.”
