Banbury BID launches Annual October Beer Trail with cash prizes

1 October – 31 October 2026

Banbury BID is bringing back its popular Beer Trail this October, giving locals and visitors the chance to explore some of Banbury’s best known pubs, bars and entertainment venues while collecting stamps and entering cash prize draws.

The Banbury Beer Trail will feature 26 venues across the town, from traditional pubs and historic inns to cocktail bars, sports bars and entertainment venues.

Participating venues include AKA, Banbury Cross Inn, The Cherwell, The Dog and Gun, The Exchange, The Old Auctioneer, The Swan, The Wheatsheaf, The White Horse, Wine Vaults and Ye Olde Reine Deer.

The trail also includes Danny’s Sports Bar, GF Club and Waterside Bar, Pinto Lounge, Wander Bar, The Coach and Horses, The Light, The Church House, The Cromwell Lodge, Whatley Hall, Ugly Mug, Fast Eddies, Elite 8 Ball, JT Davies, Discobowl and V Lounge.

Taking part is simple. Visitors can pick up a Beer Trail booklet and collect a stamp each time they purchase a qualifying drink at a participating venue. Once they have collected five stamps, they can enter a draw for the chance to win either a £15 or £25 gift card. Collect 10 stamps and they can enter a draw for the chance to win £100 to spend at a participating venue.

The trail is designed to encourage people to try somewhere new while supporting Banbury’s pubs, bars and hospitality businesses.

Lucas Timms from Banbury BID said:

“We’re really pleased to be bringing the Beer Trail back this year. It was well received previously, and we’re looking forward to seeing people getting involved again, discovering new places and supporting local businesses along the way.”

Beer Trail booklets will be available from all participating venues, as well as the Banbury United lottery stand, Castle Quay Information Desk, Banbury Museum and Banbury Library.

With a whole month to complete the trail, participants can take their time, visit with friends and explore the different venues taking part.

Pick up a booklet, start collecting your stamps and see where the trail takes you!

Please note we encourage those participating to drink responsibly.
